the collective came about because i wanted to do something constructive with my passion that i have been playing with since i was 10 years old.  photography has given me a lot of pleasure over the years and after spending a couple of days with another photoghaphy collective, which was very poorly run, it gave the kick i needed to start my own collective up. 

i knew a very good photographer in the area, rudolf lo schivio, (a noted landscape photographer, particularly in the verdon area)  and asked him if he wanted to start something up, a vehicle to get our work out there.   rudlof was keen and invited his good friend luc vang (a superb drone pilot, film maker and photographer)  along to the collective.  i asked my daughter jasmine callen (a student at the university of falmouth, england, studying marine and natural history photography) and together we formed the founding members of the association, good shot photographie.

our aims are the following:

​

for local photographers to be able to exhibit their work.

to make it easier for photographers to help each other exhibit and to be able to exhibit individually.

meet regularly (once a month, for example) to discuss and develop projects.

help and encourage young photographers to showcase their works.

invite well-known or specialised photographers to give presentations.

organize photo festivals.

organize photography outings to places that might be of interest to members.

organize social events with the aim of having fun and meeting people.

lead photography workshops out in the field for people looking to develop their photography.

so as we find our feet as a collective, we have a few events already in the pipeline.  a presentation from local photographer and authors, david and stephanie allemand at the fondation carzou in manosque in april.  two exhibitions, one in roumoules at the end of june and one with la voutes des arts in pierrevert.

le collectif est né car je voulais faire quelque chose de constructif avec ma passion avec laquelle je joue depuis l'âge de 10 ans. la photographie m'a procuré beaucoup de plaisir au fil des années et après avoir passé quelques jours avec un autre collectif de photographie, très mal géré, cela m'a donné le coup de pouce dont j'avais besoin pour créer mon propre collectif.

je connaissais un très bon photographe dans la région, rudolf lo schiavo (un photographe de paysage réputé, notamment dans la région du verdon) et je lui ai demandé s'il voulait créer quelque chose, un moyen pour diffuser notre travail. rudolf était enthousiaste et a invité son bon ami luc vang (un superbe pilote de drone, vidéaste et photographe) à rejoindre le collectif. j'ai demandé à ma fille jasmine callen (étudiante à l'université de falmouth, en angleterre, qui étudie la photographie marine et d'histoire naturelle) et ensemble nous avons formé les membres fondateurs de l'association good shot photographie.

nos objectifs sont les suivants :

exposer le travail des photographes locaux

permettre aux photographes de s'entraider pour exposer plus facilement et de pouvoir exposer individuellement.

se réunir régulièrement (une fois par mois par exemple) pour discuter et développer des projets.

aider et encourager les jeunes photographes à présenter leurs œuvres.

invitez des photographes connus ou spécialisés à faire des présentations.

organisez des festivals de photos.

organisez des sorties photo dans des lieux susceptibles d'intéresser les membres.

organisez des événements dans le but d’apporter du plaisir et de rencontrer du monde.

animer des ateliers de photographie sur le terrain pour les personnes souhaitant développer leur photographie.

alors que nous trouvons nos marques en tant que collectif, nous avons déjà quelques événements en préparation. une présentation du photographe et auteurs locaux david et stéphanie allemand à la fondation carzou à manosque le 19 avril 2024 à 19h. deux expositions, une à roumoules fin juin et une à la voutes des arts à pierrevert.
